The Amplatz Gooseneck trap is designed for use in the cardiovascular system or hollow viscera to retrieve and manipulate foreign bodies. Manipulation procedures include repositioning of the indwelling venous catheter, removal of the fibrin sheath of the indwelling venous catheter, and central venous access vein puncture procedure assistance.

The Amplatz Goose Neck Microsnare is designed for use in the removal and manipulation of atraumatic foreign bodies found in the coronary and peripheral cardiovascular system and extracranial neurovascular anatomy.
