Description
SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY
After deploying a GEC, the ability to deliver stents, balloons, and other interventional devices through the catheter is critical.

Telescope GEC with SmoothPass technology includes three components working together to help guide response devices:
![Close up image of straightened catheter](/content/dam/medtronic-com/products/coronary/guide-catheter-extension/telescope/images/telescope-smoothpass-components-diagram.jpg)
- Tapered distal pushwire section — solid, rounded, proximal pushwire transitions for flexibility
- Short 4 cm polymer ramp top — maintains superior deliverability3 and diverts response devices
- Input port – contributes to smooth device entry and delivery
TELESCOP DATE IN THE GLASS AORTIC ARCH MODEL

- Spade marker tape confirms the direction of the catheter on fluoroscopy
- Entry point
- Resolute Onyx™ DES running along the ramp to the inlet port
- Ramp top
DISTAL 25 CM CATHETER:
- Coil-reinforced design and hydrophilic coating help increase flexibility and delivery
- PTFE liner provides a low friction inner lumen

- Flexible TruFlex soft polymer tip
- Rigid polymer in proximal sheath for luminal integrity
- Flexible polymer in main sheath for deliverability
- Robust, round push wire with superior pushability
