CardioMEMS™ HF System

The CardioMEMS™ HF System is the first and only FDA-approved wireless heart failure monitoring system proven to reduce hospitalizations and improve quality of life for both types of heart failure in New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class III patients. last year.

Description

Abbott’s CardioMEMS™ HF System is the only clinically proven remote monitoring platform for both HFpEF1 and HFrEF patients:

  • assist doctors in preventing worsening of heart failure
  • lower death rates
  • improve quality of life

As telemedicine becomes more common, the CardioMEMS HF System is a safe and reliable way to help their patients manage their heart failure.

The CardioMEMS HF System gives you real-time notification of patient changes and simple, easy access to secure data for proactive, personalized patient management. It also provides patients with a heightened awareness of the factors affecting their health and a strong sense of control.

Monitoring Pulmonary Artery (PA) Pressures is Proactive and Actionable

The CardioMEMS HF System remotely monitors changes in pulmonary artery (PA) pressure, an early indicator of the onset of worsening heart failure. These early changes can often be addressed through simple adjustments in care, such as drug titration, without requiring an appointment with the patient.

Traditionally, clinicians have focused on physiological markers (patient weight, blood pressure, etc.) to detect worsening heart failure. Unfortunately, these markers appear late in the time course of decompensation. Relying on them leaves little time to respond before hospitalization is required.

The CardioMEMS HF System is the only proven, proactive and personalized product for both HFrEF and HFpEF patients.

The CardioMEMS HF System has been proven by clinical trial data to reduce hospitalizations and mortality for heart failure, as well as improve QOL for HFrEF and HFpEF patients. Applicable measurements of PA pressures allow for proactive changes in medical management for heart failure before symptoms appear. The ability to individually set patient thresholds allows physicians to personalize and optimize care and medical management for each patient.
